Tube Changer
Get around London faster with Tube Changer, the new app that tells you which Underground carriage to board so that you're right by the correct exit or interchange when you reach your station.
It's quick and easy to use:
1. Select the tube line you're travelling on
2. Select the station you want to change or exit at
3. Select the direction you're going
Tube Changer will show you diagrams of the underground train for every exit or interchange at your chosen station. Red blocks show you exactly where to be on the train so you're right by the exit or interchange when you arrive. You'll even see what side of the carriage to stand on. Tube Changer works on iPhone or iPod touch, and doesn't need a network connection.
QUICK DIRECTIONS
You can select your destination either by choosing the line you're travelling on from the colourful menus, or else by name - choose the 'Stations' tab at the top of the first screen and type a few letters until the name pops up.
You can also add any station and direction to a Favourites list for quick retrieval. If you're planning a journey in advance, you can add all the stations to your Favourites so they're simple to call up on the move.
Tube Changer has two optional settings to make it even easier to use:
- You can ask it to draw the platform next to the train, to help you see where the platform will be when you arrive
- You can choose to have the exit details displayed as text
To turn on either option, access Tube Changer's settings in the iPhone Settings app.
